Steph and Adam’s Montclair NJ intimate backyard wedding may not have been what they originally planned for their wedding date, but they embraced the change and made it a very meaningful and memorable event. Having recently bought a house in Montclair with a wonderful piece of property, Steph and Adam decided to get married right at home amongst a few family members. It was a fantastic evening to get married! Even simple backyard nuptials take a bit of planning and effort and Steph and Adam created a wonderful space to share their love and commitment to one another with their family members. I knew there’d be plenty of laughs after initially meeting with Steph and Adam nearly a year and a half ago and sharing many laughs with them during our meeting. We shared more laughter during their engagement session photos that you can check out by clicking here and, of course, plenty of laughter on their wedding day…
Steph looking beautiful!
Adam handsome in his tux… the tux was a surprise for Steph…
Walking out their front door for a first look…
I love this sweet series from their first look…
A little stroll down their sidewalk is the perfect fit for their Montclair NJ intimate backyard wedding…
Amazing flowers from Pink Dahlia Floral Event Design…
I like more candid family photos… I always feel like they tell more of a story in the years to come.
Ketubah signing!
Technically, when the second witness (seen here approaching the Ketubah) finishes signing, the couple is officially married!
It’s official!
I love that Steph and Adam decided to split up the seven times the bride is supposed to circle the groom. Steph circled Adam, Adam circled Steph and then (the pic below) they circled together (the pic below). It’s such a beautiful testament to being equals in a marriage…
Adam gives a wink to the Zoom guests at home…
Steph and Adam surprised everyone with a duet that they sang at the altar. They each had a part and then sang together. Their voices are tremendous and it was super sweet to witness…
Adam’s aunt’s eyes welled up with tears as she watched them sing…
And, of course, I expected some laughter during the vows and Steph and Adam did not disappoint…
Smashing the glass!
Adam kept asking if it was time to kiss yet and the Rabbi had to tell him to hold on a second… hah! I love that Steph and Adam still wanted to get married on their original wedding date. They were flexible and adaptable and had such a special and meaningful Montclair NJ intimate backyard wedding at their new house.
