MaryRose and Mark had an amazing approach to their New Year’s Eve The Notary Hotel wedding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With ever-changing circumstances and last minute substitutions, they rolled with it and they had a fantastic day! Fortunately, the weather even cooperated by not being super cold. It was an ambitious day with many hours of coverage, but working with MaryRose and Mark and their friends and family made it fun. They both got ready at The Notary Hotel and then a first look, onto St. Thomas Church of Villanova, a few more pictures and party time!

St. Thomas of Villanova church has a lot of restrictions on where I could photograph from. I take it as a challenge when that happens!

I had posted these two images to instagram because I had a hard time choosing a favorite. So much joy in both, I had to just post both of them.
This crowd brought the moves…
Tie limbo has remained one of my favorite wedding reception activities, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen the tie held with teeth!
Wait for it…
There it is!
A lot of people at MaryRose and Mark’s The Notary Hotel wedding ended up in the air on the dance floor!

The Happy New Year moment! It has been so wonderful working with MaryRose, Mark and their friends and family from start to finish. During what can be a stressful time to plan a wedding, they let things flow, handled everything with grace and everyone pulled together despite some substitutions to make things work. The love and energy were palpable. A big thank you to my friend Lauren Brimhall who came out of retirement to help me last minute when my assistant wasn’t able to come. Not only did she come out of retirement, but she joined me on a holiday for most of the day to help me out. There aren’t many people who are willing to do that and I am ever-grateful for her support.
