This New Jersey Fall family photo session was ten years in the making! I first photographed Allison and David ten years ago for their Hoboken engagement session. At that point, I had just become a new mother. I since photographed their wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park, their Hoboken maternity session and four years of family sessions as their family grew to one of five! The kids are getting so big and are so much fun to work with. My own daughter came to help me and agreed that Luke, Emmy and Sophie are adorbs!

I love the messier moments of family sessions…

middle child in the middle….
This photo is all about that ‘skirt grab’. It is a gesture that I wanted to highlight. These things change quickly and I love creating images that can bring us back to the small things we forget.
Sophie wasn’t super into the idea of the photoshoot at first, but she started to come around with the help of her brother and sister.
Moms keep the world spinning!
Proud papa!
These three are way too adorable!
That smile on Luke’s face!

Trying different techniques to get Sophie in for a picture…

Eventually…it worked!
The sun peeked out for about 3 minutes right at the end of the session. Although Emmy was tired of taking pictures, she was kind enough to step into the beautiful golden light for a couple frames.
This photo was captured by my daughter. I love how she actually worked me into the frame. How awesome to be worked into a candid image ten years later captured by my own daughter who was just a few weeks old when I originally photographed Allison and David for the first time.
This New Jersey Fall family photo session was an honor and a pleasure to capture. It is pretty neat to have made it over two decades in the industry and to be seeing my couples again and again!
