heidi and lawrence had a warm and sunny day for their fall battleground country club wedding in monmouth county, new jersey. it was quite a bit warmer than when we met up earlier this year during the winter for their engagement session in colonial park. heidi is the marketing director for karma cat +zen dog rescue society, a non-profit animal rescue that my sister and i founded almost 8 years ago, so i was excited to work with another animal-loving couple. i also got to see another couple of mine, christina and dane, who are another karma cat + zen dog animal-loving couple whose wedding i’ll be photographing next year. and… i figured out why another couple had such familiar faces– she was the maid-of-honor at the awesome wedding of christie and brian that i photographed last year. small world.
i’d only had two other people reach out to me about their battleground country club wedding in over a decade of photographing weddings. what a gem this place is though! the setting is beautiful, the food is good and the maitre’d and bridal attendant totally rock!
