What an absolute joy and honor this Beach Haven LBI NJ family portrait session was! Being able to meet up with Amanda and Patrick and their two little girls again was so awesome. I originally photographed Amanda and Patrick’s The Gables LBI wedding at this same beach nearly a decade ago. Two years ago I got to meet their two sweet daughters when we met up on the same Beach Haven beach again to take family photos. You can check those out by clicking here. The girls are such an absolute joy to work with and it was so fun seeing them really coming into their own personalities. It is also so awesome to be able to work grandparents into the photos.
My trained seagulls had changed the terms of their contract from years ago so it’s been difficult to get them to work in the same capacity. We were able to bargain for a few seconds and I took the deal. 
I am so close to my images it can be hard to know how they translate. For me, this image translates to the spirit of being a little kid and seeing a moment in nature and being so full of wonder that you run to it.

I am very impressed with how high Patrick can jump.
I am also impressed that Amanda’s parents were willing to get in on the fun of jumping… 
I love that the girls were able to have their grandparents in some photos with them. 
Such a great time seeing Amanda and Patrick again and working with the girls and Amanda’s parents on their Beach Haven LBI NJ family portrait session. Seeing the girls so joyful and happy to see me totally melted my heart. A sweet bonus was the fact that I had to come back down later in the week to shoot again and I was able to meet back up with these guys with my daughter whom I was pregnant with when I originally met with Amanda and Patrick nearly ten years ago. They finally had a chance to meet her and the girls all got to have ice cream together and they were all just the cutest!
