September was an amazing month to get married this year and Krista and Doug’s Bear Brook Valley autumn wedding day did not disappoint- blue skies, smiles and joy and a crazy dance floor! You are probably not going to believe this as you look through the pictures, but Krista and Doug weren’t really into pics of the two of them. Photography was important to them, but they really cared most about moment and the story.. not the details or the portraits. With that being said though, they made a promise to each other that they would just ‘act naturally’ right away so they could get done with pics faster. I love this… they were supportive of the fact that I needed time to get this portraits, but really worked with me by just going with the flow right away. We ended up finishing up ahead of schedule which delighted them and I got wonderful pics of them looking great and being full of joy which delighted me– teamwork!

Hopefully, Doug’s brother doesn’t hate me for posting this pic, but I just love telling the story for what it really is and given his enthusiasm on the dance floor later on, I feel like he won’t mind a humorous pic like this. The guys always have some yummy food and I caught Doug’s brother trying to multitask with eating and getting dressed. It’s a long day, you gotta fuel up and I appreciate the efforts to keep things moving along!
