I was so excited to hear about Alex and Nick’s Blooming Hill Farm wedding in Blooming Grove, New York when they reached out to me last Fall. I grew up in the Hudson Valley and always appreciated the beauty of the area so I’m always happy to get back to it for weddings. After nearly 20 years photographing weddings, each year. I still get to learn about venues I’ve never heard of. Blooming Hill Farm grows food organically, you can also dine there or host your event there. It’s beautiful spot and I definitely want to go back for a meal with my family some time soon because the location and the food are spectacular. Alex and Nick had a bright and sunny fall day. Rather than have a formal first look, Alex arrived and hopped out of the car to hug nick. They opted to not have a bridal party as well. As I’ve said before, I’m happy to see couples letting go of some of the trends and customs. It is totally ok to do things the way you want, whatever that is.
