What a joy to get to see Catie and Michael again and meet their son, Fletcher, for their NJ family mini session this fall! Catie and Michael are no strangers to taking pictures in my backyard. They had a hilariously uncomfortable experience during their engagement session a couple of years ago. Despite over a decade of living here, I’ve never experienced mosquitoes like we did during their engagement session. They were full on pterodactyl mosquitoes that were relentless. The humidity was so high that even after letting my cameras sit outside for a half hour before they arrived, my lenses kept fogging up as we raced against an approaching thunderstorm. However, the light was fantastic. You can check out that shoot by clicking here. Catie and Michael were super chill on their wedding day at Hotel Du Village in New Hope, Pennsylvania as well which you can check out by clicking here. Catie and Michael were such good sports during their mini engagement session and on their wedding day that when they arrived with Fletcher I was so happy that it was a perfectly comfortable day, the mosquitoes were non-existent (as they usually are) and there was no impending thunderstorm to race against because they totally deserved the comfortable experience! Turns out, Fletcher is super chill, too! He’s also super adorbs- like melt-my-heart adorable!
Make no mistake, Fletcher is an inquisitive guy so I had to work hard for these smiles as he was interested in plenty of other things than me…
Love this face of concentration…
I don’t think he’s smiling here because he likes me or is loving being kissed by both his parents at once, but I think he is smiling because I let him touch my camera :o)
He tried a little shoe…
and some sock, but sock definitely was not the winner…
Such a cutie!
It was such an honor to capture Catie, Michael and Fletcher. It’s always so fun meeting my couple’s kids and I feel so grateful to continue to be asked to capture their families. Meeting a little mini-me is always such a blast!
