If you’ve been following my blog, then you know that I love The Gables Inn. I had a chance to be there many times this year and what a blast it was for Lauren and Vicky’s Gables LBI Fall wedding! So much laughter and so much love. I got to work with Lauren and Vicky on their mini engagement session last fall. You can check that session out by clicking here.
Lauren and Vicky both got ready at The Gables so I bounced around the activity going on…
I have a rule when it comes to ring shots… I don’t use anything, but pure balancing to arrange the rings.
I’ve had a lot of blue suits in recent years, but I’m really loving this burgundy hue!
Fist bumps for the win!
Flowergirls are always adorable to photograph, but I love when people mix up the whole idea. I was a flower girl at 23 for my oldest sister because I was supposed to be one as a kid, but there were far too many people in my uncle’s big Italian wedding so they cut out the youngest three which included me. My grandmother handmade all of the dresses for everyone including me. I matched, but I wasn’t a part of the party and that was a big bummer as a little girl so I appreciate the opportunity for someone other than a little girl to play this role. Earlier this Fall, one of my bride’s had her grandmother as her flower girl and she really savored that walk down the aisle. You can check that out by clicking here. Lauren’s brother had a lot of spirit and it was super fantastic and entertaining!
Vicky’s mom ready to hand over a tissue as Lauren walks down the aisle…
In nearly two decades of photographing weddings, I have never seen reactions like this as the bride walked down the aisle. The emotion was overhwhelming as Vicky literally yelled out, ‘Stop!’ because she was so taken aback by Lauren. I had to shoot through the tears welling up in my eyes…
Vicky still composing herself…
Lovely Gables LBI Fall garden wedding ceremony…
Vicky’s dad officiated the ceremony…
If a reading at a wedding involves ‘quantum entanglement’, you’re speaking my language…
I love when couples are playful…
While we wanted to go down on the beach and the weather was nice, it was a super crazy windy day which would have just been an insane mess of hair rather than awesome portraits!
An enthusiastic entrance to their Gables LBI Fall wedding reception!
The speeches were nonstop laughter… I knew it’d be a great Gables LBI Fall wedding with Lauren and Vicky. Their love and adoration for one another was palpable on both our first meeting on Skype and during their engagement session. Friends and family were ready to enjoy the amazing food, party and laugh! Thanks to Brandan Calhoun for assisting me.
