when jaclyn and kyle reached out to me about their early april grand marquis wedding in new jersey, i knew they had to be pretty chill because it takes a certain kind of couple to choose and early april wedding. i should know, i chose one, too. you never know if it will be 75 and sunny or 35 and chilly. in jaclyn and kyle’s case, they were calling for snow for their wedding day! although it was a little chilly, it didn’t end up snowing. having worked with jaclyn’s cousin, katie, on her windows on the water at surfrider beach club wedding four years ago, i knew it’d be good times. always love seeing familiar faces.
groomsman do a whole lot of chillin’ out during their preps…
suspenders are one of my favorite groom accessories…
cutie pie!
i love this shot for the future perspective of looking back and realizing how tiny jaclyn’s niece was on her wedding day…
i have the prettiest brides.
jaclyn and her father had a first look. he isn’t closing his eyes waiting to open them to see her… this is the moment right after he saw her and he had to close his eyes for a second to take it all in…
ready to capture the moment from down below…
thumbs up!
i follow this guy on instagram. he’s pretty darn cute.
peek-a-boo!
too cute…
still at it…
these are my favorite kind of family photos because they are the real ones…
just like this one, too. hah.
snow in april would have been cool… ok, maybe not.
my brides are also super cool…
this is jaclyn’s signature drink for her grand marquis wedding and while i don’t know exactly what is in it, i can certainly pick out one ingredient: blue curacao. whenever i see a blue drink like this it reminds me of a night that i learned a life lesson. my senior year of college when somehow i decided it was a great idea to make ‘adios mother f*$k#rs’. you can look up the recipe, but it contains blue curacao. the life lesson i learned was that it is not a good idea to drink ‘adios mother f*$k#rs’. i avoid any drinks that are blue, despite their beautiful aesthetic, just to be safe so i don’t end up in a world of hurt. hah.
love me some emotional parent dances…
party time!
this is the second time in a couple months that i got to see katie and todd at a wedding! happy to see them stil having fun together.
i’ll tell you why i love this picture. i wanted to grab a picture of grandpa and when he noticed me pointing the camera his way he somewhat sarcastically gave me this huge grin and overreaction… all i could do was laugh. serves me right, hah. i appreciated him turning it on for me and the little bit of sarcasm made it just that much better. no matter what age, keep your wit.
how can you not smile back at this?
kyle’s signature drink was a long island iced tea. there is a life lesson there with that one as well. it’s quite similar, hah.
one of the reason’s why i love suspenders as an accessory…
random story. my husband always says wherever i go, i find some random connection to people. the day before jaclyn and kyle’s wedding i went to my first physical therapy appointment and it turned out this guy on the right is dating jacyln’s cousin and he was my physical therapist! small world. but…i hate physical therapy. it’s nothing personal, i just hate it. i gave it more chances than i originally planned, so brian should be honored, but he is probably not going to see me again for therapy! my public apologies, brian!
kyle breakdances!
such a fun time with jaclyn, kyle, their friends and family and lots of familar faces for their grand marquis wedding. although snow can make for some cool photos, all of us in new jersey are over it by april so i’m happy for jaclyn and kyle that we had decent weather. thanks to kelsey davis for assisting me.
