I finally had a chance to photograph a wedding at the lovely Inn at Fernbrook Farms and it did not disappoint. Marie and Mark were originally scheduled to have their wedding at another venue, but due to the current situation and restrictions, they opted to adapt their wedding plans. A microwedding in Philly and a party next year was the plan, but when that fell through they were able to grab their same date at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms and reduce their guest count to less than half the original list. Fantastic that it all worked out until the days leading up to their wedding, a hurricane was approaching. Most of the time the forecast changes and it isn’t typically rainy for an entire day, but when a hurricane is coming, we are certainly more likely to have inclement weather. A couple days prior to their wedding date, they reached out to vendors to see if we could all switch to the following day to avoid the bad weather. It all worked out and the wedding plans were once again changed. The weather was absolutely perfect. Sunny and warm and comfortable– a well deserved forecast after so much effort to adjust and adapt to the current situation!
A little internet research into tying a bow tie…
If you haven’t had to tie a bowtie ever or often, it definitely is a little bit tricky to figure out…
Mark had his last name embroidered into the collar of his suit. He also had the date inside the jacket, but it’ll always be a story to tell because it is one day off…
Cute pup!
Sometimes my brides get ready with all of their bridesmaids helping and watching and sometimes they keep it really quiet with just their mom…
Stunning!
The girls reacting to Marie’s final look…
Marie clearly very excited as she heads over to her first look with Mark…
Could see a lot of emotion in Mark’s eyes just before their first look at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms…
Love this moment… you don’t have to see Mark’s face to be able to tell that he is smiling, but also trying to hold back a tear…
Marie and Mark read their vows to one another just after their first look. I love how much emotion was involved from tears to laughter.
Love all the happy in this pic!
Mark watches as Marie walks down the aisle…
Mark raises a fist in celebration that they made it to the altar after all of the changes and adjustments to the day…
I love when couples are so intently focused on one another during their ceremony…
I loved the cozy garden ceremony space at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms…
That moment just before they are officially announced husband and wife…
A lovely first dance as the sun sets. As a photographer, I have to note that while this is a beautiful time to photograph, it is also extremely challenging as couples dance unpredictably around and the sun can literally blind you, but I love giving the perspective of how the warm light was splashing through into the tent as they danced…
Just love this sweet moment…
Party time!
Love the joy!
I loved the setting at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms. Awesome food, great service, fresh evening open air setting… I’ve got to give Marie and Mark a lot of credit for all of the changes and adaptations they made to their original weddings plans in order to adjust to the circumstances to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. The last minute change to one day later felt like that’s exactly how it was supposed to go for them and they embraced it and were blessed with a fantastic day at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms. Thanks to Brandan Calhoun for assisting me.
