one of my favorite parts of the business i’ve created is that i get to see my past couples and their friends and family again and again. whit went to school with two of my past grooms so i knew i was in for a great wedding because like i always say, ‘awesome people know other awesome people’. jill and whit’s wedding was my first wedding back after taking a little time off to have my baby. although it was hard to leave my baby for the first time to travel to atlantic city for their wedding, it was reassuring to know i’d be with many familiar faces who were excited and supportive of my new addition. although the rain kept us inside for most of the time, it was a perfect day.
i always think women are going to get mad at me for posting pics of them in their rollers, but for some reason, i really dig the rollers and i love the combination of rollers and happy in this photo.
that moment before it is time to put the dress on…
love this…
i gotta give whit props. there’s nothing like getting up in the grill of someone who isn’t super into photos. i think he might be having fun in this pic, testimony to the fact that it’s a good idea to like your photographer.
i love the juxtaposition of the chaos of atlantic city and the quiet of this image…
so pretty…
just after jill and whit saw each other for the first time that day…
yeah, i think he might be having a good time. hah.
we had quite the audience when taking pics outside. the boardwalk was lined with people waiting for the miss america parade to start. nothing like being on the spot!
whit and his mom at the start of the ceremony…
jill’s mom watching the cermony…
no, these pictures are not out of order. you can tell the second pic was jill taking in the moment whit became her husband…
two of my brides having a great time…
these ladies have been friends since they were kids. fantastic!
the next three pics are the evolution of the ‘santoro wedding fist bump’. the first pic was from tracy and ryan’s wedding in 2013…
this pic was from jeannine and joe’s wedding in 2014…
…and 2015 at jill and whit’s wedding. i also love how each year, a person gets added. looking forward to my 2016 pic when i photograph his sister’s wedding next year…
photobooth fun…
so fun seeing tracy and ryan again… 2 years later and having a blast together.
and jeannine and joe… 1 year later and all smiles…
this was such a great wedding to come back to after taking time off to have my baby… familiar faces, a beautiful couple, a gorgeous venue and my husband as my assistant.
i must take a moment to thank my husband big time. he assisted me on this job despite dealing with a kidney stone all week. at one point, the pain kicked in so badly that he started walking to the hospital right nearby, only to turn around when the pain subsided a little bit to come back to help me (although he did end up in the ER later that night!). i’m pretty sure i hit the husband jackpot!
