Katie and Pete celebrated their Lake Mohawk Country Club NJ wedding on a bright and sunny late fall day. Their day was full of smiles, a beautiful lakeside outdoor ceremony and a seriously fantastic dance party. They had the kind of dance party where I couldn’t even stop for a minute to go to the bathroom because I would miss something! I love when the energy of a dance floor is that intense!
Loved the updates Lake Mohawk Country Club made to their bridal suite…
Katie’s sisters help her with her wedding dress…
I much prefer to capture details organically. The wedding industry has become so materialistic and social media feeds are filled with the ‘stuff’ of weddings. It is the moments that really matter Twenty years from now, you are not going to be moved to tears of joy by a flat lay of your invite and a picture of your shoes. The moments your two sisters simultaneously helped you with your garter and shoes is what will move you, and over time, it’ll effect you in different ways. When you consider wedding photography, consider the story told. Sometimes I like to share a candid portrait… Katie and Pete had their Lake Mohawk Country Club NJ wedding right on the shore of Lake Mohawk…
Party time! Lots of laughter during toasts…This crowd literally did not stop once the dance floor opened up!
It’s a wonder that I’ve never been seriously injured while photographing weddings. I like to get right in there!
One other time in my career, a bunch of guys serenaded the bride to “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” and it took place at Lake Mohawk Country Club as well…
I’m seeing lots of tie limbo again this year. One of my favorite dance floor activities…
Katie’s parents did quite the performance of Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light… A wonderful day from start to finish with Katie, Pete and their friends and family at their Lake Mohawk Country Club NJ wedding. Thanks to Kelsey Davis for assisting me.
