the rain held out for deanna and nick’s rock island lake club spring wedding and so happy that it did! these two lovebirds deserved an amazing day. deanna and nick’s wedding day was filled with so much emotion. it is clear that not only do they absolutely adore one another, but their friends and family adore them as well.
deanna and nick met while she was his waitress at a restaurant. i’ve been photographing weddings for over 13 years so i’ve heard a lot of stories about how people have met. this is not my first couple to have met this way… but what makes it pretty neat is that the one other couple that met in the same manner, katie and rob, also got married at rock island lake club!
i had a chance to work with deanna and nick on their engagement session last fall so i knew there’d be no shortage of smiles on their big day!
loving rock island lake club’s new expanded groom’s suite…
nick looking handsome! love the purple bowtie and blue suit combo. i’ve seen a lot of blue suits in the last year and i’m really loving them!
the guys always get a lot of time to chill out on the wedding day…
this picture has been done a million times, but sometimes the shoes just scream to be photographed this way…
donna from amazing face doing her thing!
had to zoom in on those lashes!
if you didn’t read my last blog, i provide a little insight into blue alcoholic drinks, hah!
shots!
a lot of times people like to pose flower girls to do cute things, i prefer to catch them for real doing cute things like checking themselves out in the mirror…
the moment a bride applies some deodorant isn’t always the most photographically awesome thing, except when you have a bride like deanna who just owns it…
and gives me two fun photos of deodorant application on the wedding day!
deanna tears up as she reads her card from nick…
beautiful and so happy!
emotional first look…
so much happy between these two…
we had some light mist to contend with for deanna and nick’s rock island lake club spring wedding, but they were both troopers and were all for pics outside!
i wouldn’t normally take a shot like this because it feels like a really overdone kind of concept in the wedding industry, but i loved how it showed the weather for the day. it was a different representation on the light mist that occurred for most of deanna and nick’s wedding day…
best nose bite ever!
hah! (also, don’t you just love the shades of purple?)
hah!
i say this all the time… first looks don’t take away from the moment the bride walks down the aisle. despite spending a couple hours together before their wedding ceremony, nick tries to hold back tears as deanna heads down the aisle for their rock island lake club spring wedding.
deanna’s mom covers her face as she starts to get emotional as well…
beautiful lakeside setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony…
anyone notice what’s wrong with this pic?
nick started putting the wedding ring on deanna’s right hand, hah!
i love how much enthusiasm deanna radiates and she makes nick just light right up!
entering a wedding reception can be a bit overwhelming when you are a little one…
just before deanna and nick enter their rock island lake club wedding reception, deanna’s mom holds back tears and hugs nick’s mom…
party time!
hah!
this was one crowded dancefloor! love to see so many guests up and enjoying themselves. thanks to dj alfredo for keeping them going!
couldn’t be happier for deanna and nick and their fantastic rock island lake club spring wedding! such a wonderful flow and chill vibe to the day combined with so much love and emotion. honored to have been chosen to capture their day. great working with folded crane films. thank you so much to kelsey davis for assisting me.
