when i first met courtney and shaun, i knew they were my people. they were light-hearted and full of laughter, easy-going, met each other the same way i met my husband and were planning a wedding in just about 6 months like we did as well. i knew they’d be great to work with and i was right. i got to shoot them this summer during their engagement session and had a blast capturing their chemistry…
courtney and shaun had their wedding at the rock island lake club… the rock island lake club in sparta, nj just opened up to do weddings in august so they only had a few under their belt by the time courtney and shaun’s wedding happened, but they did a great job. the fall colors were amazing and the day was filled with so many smiles and laughter and a very entertaining dance party!
a little wedding day paper house building…
it’s a lot more of a process to get situated in a wedding dress than most realize…
i’m not gonna lie, i was a little bit worried while taking the shot on he left that i might lose my sense of where i am and fall off the dock into the water!
i love that shaun’s brothers still hold hands after all these years…
the couple sneaks a kiss…
the fall colors were amazing, but i loved this image as a black and white…
i love how much these two crack each other up…
picture perfect…
getting ready for the ceremony…
i love how courtney is looking at her dad while shaun is looking at his mom…
all smiles!
this ceremony made me laugh, too…
shaun’s nephew is a future heartbreaker. such a little gentleman…
love all the girls laughing…
love when a couple writes their own vows…
meanwhile, shaun’s brothers take a moment to let me admire their beauty…
love it!
did i mention how much i love the big smiles at this wedding?
some really great speeches!
shaun’s parents react to his brothers’ toast…
shaun’s super sweet and adorable niece!
the hat… hah!
i just assumed this guy is a doctor and just doing a routine heart rate check as the dance floor got intense…safety first…
shaun on the mic, open shirt guy and the thumbs down… classic!
intense dancing needs some intense hydration…
love this!
and… love this!
although it looks like courtney is about to fall over, she didn’t….
i love when a groom randomly grabs his bride and kisses her in that ‘you are my wife’ moment…
a great party, needs a great end…
