It’s been a while since I’ve had a day wedding so it was awesome to end up at Landmark Venue’s Boathouse at Mercer Lake on a beautiful September day with Leah and Jonathan. Leah grew up near the Boathouse at Mercer Lake, but currently her and Jonathan are living in Texas where he grew up, after a move from South Africa where he was born. Wedding guests traveled from near and far to celebrate with these two! I knew Leah and Jonathan’s Boathouse at Mercer Lake wedding would be an easygoing day after working with the two of them on their Sayen Gardens engagement session earlier this year. You can check that out here.
Leah and Jonathan both got ready at her parents house. Always lovely working with Beauty on Location NJ…
At first, Jonathan was putting his pink socks over another set of socks. I thought it was kinda weird because it was pretty warm out, but thought maybe he had cold feet, hah. Turns out he just didn’t realize he was doing it!
The struggle is real…
Amy from Beauty on Location NJ works on Leah while Jonathan’s mom checks out her look behind them…
A little adjustment…
Leah looking classic and beautiful…
Jonathan giving me a look during portraits…
A little nose ‘boop’…
Sunday morning kayaking lesson on Mercer Lake…
Love the enthusiasm of the Ketubah signing…
Lots of smiles and laughter…
Love this moment when Leah’s dad leaned in to tell her something. Based on her expression, I could tell it was something heartfelt.
Jonathan watches as Leah walks down the aisle for the Boathouse at Mercer Lake wedding…
I love when a ceremony allows me the opportunity to photograph from all perspectives. I get to find images like this one when I have all access. Also, I love how beautiful Leah looks in this moment..
Mazel tov!
Love the energy of the horah!
Waving the Texas flag!
Pretty cool move for a first dance…. It was a pleasure working with Leah, Jonathan and their friends and family on their Boathouse at Mercer Lake wedding on such a beautiful day! Thanks to Sean Medwick for assisting me.
