when cara originally reached out to me about her wedding and let me know that her fiancé had been long time friends with one of my past grooms, gregg, i knew they were good people! turns out cara also went to high school with another one of my couples, double the connections.
much like their friends, melissa and gregg, cara and mike had a barn wedding as well. cara and mike had their wedding at the barn at perona farms. we even did an engagement session in my backyard almost 4 years to the date from when i photographed melissa, gregg and their doggies back there… love the parallels.
i was so happy that we didn’t have bitter cold temperatures and tons of snow after such a long winter, and while it was a bit of a brisk day, cara and mike were troopers during the photos…
cara’s bridesmaids look on as cara reads a note from mike…
love the cowboy boots and flats….
don’t be afraid to put your own personality into your wedding attire… cowboy boots– fun and practical!sometimes the bustle disappears…
so pretty…
i always get a kick out of getting to work with past couples… mike and gregg take in a little moment at the altar…hah, and i always get a kick out of the little ones and their reactions to getting down the aisle.
love this exchange…thanks to cara and mike and their bridal party for putting up with chilly temperatures…and staying in good spirits…taking a moment to warm back up…
the sun peeked out for just a few minutes and gave us a little warmth…melissa and gregg… now they fall into my ‘old married couple’ category, but love seeing them still so happy together…um, this guy… so cute and so chill…
cutie pie…
gregg dances it up with cara…
love this shot because it represents two families coming together… mike’s mom and cara’s dad embrace after a little dance together…
such an honor to photograph cara and mike’s wedding. so happy their day went just as planned and so much joy witnessing the love between these two! thanks to brian leong for assisting me
