Although Shannon and Max didn’t originally plan an intimate New Jersey riverfront wedding, they pulled together the event within a short period of time and it was fantastic. It is no secret that I love where I live on the Delaware River and Shannon and Max are practically neighbors living just a bit upstream from me. I loved having the opportunity to photograph a wedding in a location that is so near and dear to my heart and I loved that their ceremony took place in the front yard of where Shannon grew up. This past fall they came to my house for their mini engagement session. You can check that out by clicking here.
Love how Shannon casually put her shoes on in the hallway…
Max arrived on the local fire truck…
An intimate wedding doesn’t mean you can’t have awesome things like a horse and carriage!
There were a couple of fires going down by their ceremony area on the edge of the Delaware River…
Shannon’s mom watches as she heads down the aisle…
The setting for this intimate New Jersey riverfront wedding…
Always love laughter during a ceremony…
We all know the kiss, but I loved this hug after the kiss…
Warm socks and smoke from the fire pits… that is how you do an intimate New Jersey riverfront winter wedding.
I’ve always had an affinity toward the grandparent generation. I always valued their insight and stories about life. Losing all of my grandparents when I was in 5th grade only made this affinity stronger. I’m always looks for cute grandparents to steal, hah. Shannon’s grandmother was too cute with the series of portraits I took of her and Shannon. Love her spirit!
We hung by the river for a few portraits…
Shannon was all about going out on the dock for a couple pics. I love how adventurous she was. You can see the dock dips and wobbles a bit and she had no concerns!
Max taking a bit of a leap to avoid the water…
A little helping hand for his wife…Such a fantastic afternoon for Shannon and Max’s intimate New Jersey riverfront wedding. Although they delayed their bigger party a couple months, I’m glad they opted to have a really special ceremony on their original date. It was such a wonderful opportunity for me to photograph a special event in my own ‘hood!
