So, technically, Brooke and Jeff’s Lake Mohawk Country Club Fall wedding in New Jersey did not take place in the fall, but in my mind, once we hit September– it is fall! The weather was still summer weather, but the mindset for me was the switch to fall wedding season. Brooke and Jeff were so super chill. In fact, they were so chill that some bystanders on the boardwalk asked me if Brooke was the actual bride because they couldn’t believe how relaxed she was. This is the way. Weddings can get very stressful and overwhelming in both good and bad ways. The day goes so fast so I really love when couples can relax enough on their day to let things flow. It sets such a fantastic vibe for everyone involved.
I started with Brooke and Jeff with a first look. We took some portraits and then they had their cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour, the guests headed to their lakeside wedding ceremony and then into the reception. A different flow from the typical order, but it was really lovely. A bonus was their pup, Nelson, being there with us for the WHOLE day! I say bring the dog…. bring ALL the dogs!

In the Jewish tradition, the bride circles the groom seven times at the start of the ceremony. Such a pretty setting for a wedding ceremony!

I love showing the details of the day in their environment versus just a set up shot. Eventhough you don’t see the entire ketubah here, you can tell it is very pretty and it pops against the neutral colors of the clothing. You get a sense of the time of day as the warm sunlight bathes Brooke in the background.

My favorite part of a Jewish wedding reception is the hora. It is so unpredictable and high energy. Amazingly, I’ve never had my equipment be compromised during it as I get right in there and it’d be pretty easy for my equipment to get knocked around. Just another testament to to my ninja skills!

I work with really awesome people and I always say that awesome people know other awesome people. Brooke and Jeff’s Lake Mohawk Country Club Fall wedding day was a beautiful, laid-back, heartfelt and fun day! Every interaction I had with guests was so amazingly positive and nice. So many wonderful conversation and people!
