marie and brian’s berkshire hills country club wedding in pittsfield, massachusetts was sure to not disappoint. i originally met brian way back in 2013 at marissa and ben’s september wedding at the grandview in new york. the following september everyone met up again at the grandview for lea and alex’s wedding where i got to meet marie as well. i knew it was going to be a great day with this group for yet another september wedding.
although marie and brian orginally met back in 2011 while working college fairs, it would take them until 2013 to start dating. they had their first date, brian asked her to be his girlfriend and they got engaged all on the 23rd of the month so a wedding on the 23rd kept with their theme. although marie and brian live in california, they both grew up in massachusetts so a berkshire hills country club wedding made sense.

i saw this long box wrapped up for marie and thought maybe it was a yoga mat? it’s a pretty oddly shaped box compared to all of the other boxes i’ve seen on wedding days. marie clearly didn’t know what it was either, but was moved to tears when she saw the item. as was i.
if you don’t get the reference to the yellow umbrella you need to check out the series ‘how i met your mother’… i thought it was funny when during the speeches it was brought up that brian wasn’t a very good gift-giver when earlier in the day his gift to marie had literally moved me to tears.

this is one of my favorite candid pics from a reception. it doesn’t show crazy wild dancing, but it shows three of my couples all together in the order they got married. marissa and ben on the left who were married in 2013, lea and alex in the middle celebrating their wedding in 2014 and marie and brian who would marry almost exactly three years later from the date of this picture…

such a fantastic time with marie, brian, their friends and family and lots of familar faces at their berkshire hills country club wedding. i knew i wouldn’t be disappointed with the amount of love and laughter that would be had on their day. thanks to kelsey davis for making the trip up to the berkshires with me to assist!
