Aprill and Dan were all smiles and had a chemistry that was palpable throughout their entire The Breakers on the Ocean NJ wedding day. Their joy and laughter was so much fun to be around for their beach wedding. They both got ready at The Breakers on the Ocean Hotel in Spring Lake, New Jersey and we took a few pictures on the beach. We headed to St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant Beach for their wedding ceremony and then back to The Breakers in Spring Lake for their reception. I always tell everyone that I try to let my portraits flow. Truth be told, most of my couples don’t enjoy having their portraits done and won’t want to spend a ton of time on them. I try to make it as easy as I can and let the couple’s true colors shine through. Some couples are quiet and reserved and some couples are silly and full of laughter. I love it all.

I love a storytelling moment like this one. April taks a moment to check her hair while Dan takes a moment to pop himself out of the sunroof and raise his hand in celebration to the crowd.

If there is one piece of advice I could give to couples on their wedding day, it would be to keep it light and happy. Bring all the laughter and smiles- it’s contagious!
