While I’m no stranger to photographing in Spring Lake, Nicole and Alex’s wedding was my first The Shore Club NJ wedding- a great spot for a December winter wedding. Nicole and Alex came to me by way Nicole’s sisters’s friend who is one of my wonderful brides who was also married at the Jersey shore (The Gables Inn Wedding). If you’ve been around my blog long enough, you know that I know that awesome people know other awesome people, therefore, I knew Nicole and Alex had to be awesome… and I was right! I had a chance to chat with Nicole’s grandfather, who is over 90, prior to the ceremony. I love speaking with older generations as I am truly and old soul, especially these days when everyone is bombarded with youth from social media. Listen to your elders… they know a thing or two about life.

There are some wedding trends that have been around as long as I can remember. I do sometimes wonder if this “Shout” trend will die out. What we need are the younger generations to designate that person in their family that is going to be this guy when “Shout” comes on at a wedding for decades to come. Keep this one going…
