Catie and Michael celebrated their Hotel du Village wedding in Buck’s County, PA on a beautiful fall day. Catie and Michael actually found me before they had their date and venue chosen. One of the advantages of finding your wedding photographer first is that they have a lot of insight about weddings and wedding venues. More couples should take advantage of this fact! And of course, I love that Catie, an Ohio native, and Michael were considering venues in my beautiful ‘hood. They even ventured out to my house for their mini engagement session and it was hands-down the worst conditions I ever had a couple deal with. We had a looming thunderstorm with the threat of the skies just opening up at any point and it was so humid my camera kept fogging up. And, for reasons I do not understand or have ever experienced at my house, there were insane amounts of mosquitoes…like Pterodactyl-sized mosquitoes attacking us. Between trying to swat away mosquitoes and wipe off my camera lens and be sure we didn’t caught in a downpour, it was quite an adventure. You can see some pics here.
Both Catie and Michael got ready at the Hotel du Village…
Love this tie!
Michael got a little bit stuck… it was pretty entertaining…
Catie needed a couple more people to help her get dressed…
Super cool Grace Loves Lace wedding dress…
Clogs! So many of my brides have been opting to not wear heels at all. Like I said, they always end up on the floor… why not just be comfy all day?
First look!
I’m a big fan of laughter on the wedding day…
A lovely outdoor wedding ceremony on the back patio of Hotel du Village…
And, of course, laughter during a wedding ceremony is my fave!
Party time!
Drinks and conversation by Hotel du Village’s outdoor fire pits…
This happens a lot at weddings…
My daughter loves “Take Me Home, Country Roads”… she would have loved this last song of the night…I’m so glad Catie and Michael’s Hotel du Village wedding day presented perfect weather and timing after the adventure that their mini engagement session was. They deserved it! Thanks to Kelsey Davis for assisting me. You can check out more Landmark Venues weddings here and here and here.
